A HOPE THAT WAITS

What we need more than ever in the crazy world is HOPE.

The hope that I have in my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is far more than eternity with Him in heaven. My hope is also for today – in this present.

I find hope in the present by looking to the past. I remember His faithfulness in bring myself, my family and my business through many, many valleys. It is absolutely amazing the miracles I’ve experienced. And I have hope that He will not only bring me and my family, my business through today, but that He will make something beautiful out of the tragedy and chaos, just like He’s done so many times before.

I’m probably just like you. I get bombarded by the news and so much negativity I can feel myself sinking into despair and fear. Every time without fail, I get into God’s word and the Spirit lifts me out of this despair and hopelessness and puts my feet on solid ground. This has to happen every day. If I miss, I go right back into the pit.

But God’s word is more than just a vaccine for my worried soul. The truth He reveals to me overflows my life directly to my family and my business. It is the only thing that can give hope to any of us. God’s word is the path through the narrow gate, who is the person Jesus Christ.

God’s word is more than just a vaccine for my worried soul. The truth He reveals to me overflows my life directly to my family and my business.

We’re all being severely tested in 2020. We must limit our intake of the world and the negativity that goes with it. As Christians, we must remember how God has brought us through the valley of the shadow of death in the past and trust Him with the present and the future.

Think and pray

We must stay in scripture every day in order to resist the evil one. Only then will you be fit to lead your family and your business. Only then will others see the hope that you have within.

Father, You are faithful and good. You have brought me through trials before, and I know you will again. Help me to focus on You and not the noise around me. Comfort my heart with Your word and fix my eyes on the hope I have in You. Give me an opportunity to share with others the reason for this hope that I have. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
