Building an OKC worth Passing Down

CBMC exists to connect like-minded men of faith as they build careers, businesses, relationships and lives that honor God.

What we do

Every man has a purpose given by Christ.

CBMC exists to connect like-minded men of faith as they build careers, businesses, relationships and lives that honor God.

Help men grow.

We help men discover their purpose, grow in their faith, and to live, love and lead like Jesus.

Share the gospel.

Through outreach events and personal conversations, we take the hope of Christ to the marketplace.

Make disciples.

We provide a simple, effective approach to help believers invest themselves in the spiritual growth of others.

Equip leaders.

We offer peer groups and mentoring for both emerging leaders and those who are already leading organizations.

Area Leadership

CBMC OKLAHOMA STAFF

Brent Vawter

Senior Area Director

Backpacker | Travel Junkie | Grace Addict

Prior to connecting with CBMC in 2011, Brent was an independent marketing consultant, strategist and project manager working with Fortune 100 clients in virtually every industry, from energy to finance to healthcare and retail. Before his 20-year run in marketing, he spent a decade in operations and customer service with General Electric.

His focus on career achievement changed at age 30 when a man began meeting with him each week to help him grow in his relationship with Christ and discover God’s unique purpose for his life. Now decades later, Brent is passionate about doing the same for others.

Brent’s wife Paula is also in full-time ministry, and he has one adult son in Kansas. If he’s not meeting with some guy in a coffee shop or with Paula tending their vegetable garden, you’ll most likely find him on a backpacking trail in some mountain range, smelling like last night’s campfire!

Adrian Savedra

Area Director

Cubs/OSU Fan | Grill Master | Lifelong Learner

Prior to joining CBMC in 2020, Adrian spent 16 years as a baseball coach as well as working in the non-profit sector. He spent 8 years teaching and coaching at the high school level before spending his next 8 years at the collegiate level. He has since switched from coaching baseball players to coaching businessmen, helping them grow spiritually to apply the precepts of the bible to every area of their lives.

Adrian has been married to his wife Tara for 18 years and they have two sons, AJ and Arman. If you don’t see him on the baseball field playing catch with his sons, you might run into him at any coffee shop in the metro!

Kayla Hoglund

Ministry Coordinator

Book Reader | Cake Maker | Bird Watcher

Prior to joining CMBC in 2024, Kayla worked at a year-round Christian camp in northern Minnesota. She has almost two decades of experience working in ministries as well as coming from a background in graphic design. She loves using her talents and skills to help organizations run smoothly and is excited about jumping in at CBMC.

Kayla and her husband, Tait, along with their 3 children are new to Oklahoma and have loved exploring the area and making connections with new friends. Kayla has a large collection of Lake Superior Agates and has now started to hunting for Oklahoma Rose Rocks. If she’s not searching for rocks, she’s finding 4-leaf clovers with her newfypoo, Mando.

What we BELIEVE

Faith at our forefront.

With faith at our forefront, these are the pillars we stand on.

We believe in the Scripture of the Old and New Testament as verbally inspired by God and inerrant in the original writings. We believe that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and life.

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary and is true God and true man. We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into Heaven and in His present life there for us as High Priest and Advocate.

We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned, and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death which is separation from God. We believe that all human beings are born with a sinful nature and are sinners in thought, word and deed.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice, and that all who believe in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood.

We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God. Further, we believe in the eternal security of the believer.

We believe in “That blessed hope:” the personal and imminent return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost.
