Wally Armstrong is a PGA pro, author, golf instructor and entrepreneur. Golf has played a major role in his life since he found a golf ball in a cornfield as a child in rural Indiana. He sold it over the fence to some golfers on the course, and that is when he became a golf entrepreneur. Soon after, he progressed to becoming a caddie, and then a junior golfer, later a college player, and finally, professional. As a professional golfer he entered onto the greatest stage golf has to offer: The PGA Tour. On tour, he played in over 300 events worldwide, and was awarded a lifetime membership.
Wally continues to travel to golf tournaments as a skills instructor and speaker. He has authored several books with Jim Sheard: In His Grip, Playing the Game, Finishing the Course, and an instructional book with golfer Tom Lehman called Live Hands. Wally, along with Ken Blanchard, authored the book The Mulligan: A Parable of Second Chances. The Mulligan was made into a movie starring Pat Boone.
Since entering into a personal companionship with God during his senior year at the University of Florida, it has been Wally’s passion to use the game of golf as a tool to introduce people to the love of God. Through the many metaphors and analogies that golf provides, he loves to relate the game of golf to a person’s relationship with Jesus. He has been blessed to have traveled around the world and taught golf and shared his personal faith in Christ.
