STRONGER TOGETHER - PEACE WALK

CBMC is a part of the Stronger Together movement here in OKC, seeking to inspire unity among the faith community - a collaborative journey towards restoration, healing, and cooperation in bringing light and love to our city.

This first walk, led by Pastor Jaime Peña and Pastor Francisco Viezcas, will highlight the beauty and strength of Oklahoma’s Hispanic and Latino communities. It will also introduce the theme of seeking shalom in the places we live. The walk will include live music, food, and wonderful opportunities to build relationships.

We will begin in the parking lot of Hilltop Clinic (101 SW 25th St, Oklahoma City, 73109) and end at Scissortail Park. The total distance is about a mile and a half.

A few details for the event:

1. We will have free signs at the event with Peace Walk branding (see below). You are welcome to carry a sign at the event and then take one home to put in your yard. We would like to be very clear and united in our messaging, so please do not bring your own individual signs to the event.
2. We will invite food trucks to meet us at the end of the walk at Scissortail Park. If you would like to eat together, please bring a few dollars for tacos and a picnic blanket.
3. At this event, there will be bilingual worship music, guided prayer, and an opportunity to hear stories from members of our Hispanic/Latino community. Come ready to learn, celebrate, and make new friends!
